Like many entrepreneurs, when I first started, I believed the key to success was to offer a little bit of everything, staying available for every client request and idea. However, years into my business, my income was inconsistent despite reaching $10k in months, and burnout knocked at my door.
Then I realized that growing a profitable business isn’t about working harder or adding more—it’s about focusing on what truly brings results.
Here’s how I shifted from inconsistent $10k months to predictable, scalable $50k months and how you can do it, too.
1. Focus on Solving One Big Problem: Instead of spreading myself thin with multiple services, I clarified the one big problem I loved solving for my clients. This made my marketing more effective and simplified my offerings, allowing me to put all my energy into delivering an exceptional, results-driven service.
Ask Yourself: What’s the one transformation you love to help clients achieve? When you focus on that, it becomes easier to market and scale your expertise.
2. Price Based on Results, Not Time: I priced my services based on how many hours I spent with a client for years. However, everything changed once I shifted to pricing based on the value of the transformation I provided. By charging for the result and the value clients received, I could confidently raise my prices and attract clients willing to invest in their success.
Pro Tip: Think about the result of your service. How does it impact your client’s life or business? Your pricing should reflect the transformation, not just the hours you put in.
3. Simplify Your Marketing to Focus on ValueI stopped running after every new marketing tactic and focused on showing up authentically, sharing insights that genuinely helped my clients, and letting my results speak for themselves. Instead of pushing complicated funnels or ads, I doubled down on value-based content that represented the success my clients achieved.
Consider This: Simplifying your marketing doesn’t mean less visibility. It means focusing on what your audience needs and providing it in a way that builds trust and authority.
4. The Transformation: With these three changes, I didn’t just see my income grow; my entire business transformed. I was no longer chained to my time, hustling to hit monthly goals. Instead, I had a streamlined, sustainable model that allowed me to scale and maintain a work-life balance. My clients also saw greater success than ever, and I finally had the freedom to live the life I wanted.
If you’re ready to scale to consistent $50k ++ months, ask yourself if your current business model truly aligns with your goals. Sometimes, it’s not about adding more but simplifying and focusing on what really matters.
